80% of companies plan to upgrade to Windows 7 in 2010

Despite the fact that Microsoft has steadfastly refused to provide statistics on adoption of Windows 7 in a corporate environment, a company specializing in automated test applications for compatibility, says that current levels of adoption is very high.

Under the company ChangeBASE , developer AOK, no less than 80% of its customers planning to migrate to the latest version of Windows over the years since its release. More than half of organizations expected to have 64-bit (x64) Windows 7, said Greg Lambert (Greg Lambert) from ChangeBASE.

"It was a surprise for us,but taking into consideration the current nature of the hardware and software ecosystem,
the migration of 64 - bit OS should be the norm "- says Lambert, adding that the number of organizations planning to upgrade to Windows 7, has grown since its release. "Looking back on the research conducted among IT managers before the release of Windows 7 in October last year, I would say that at that time 65% of specialists said that hope to migrate to Windows 7 during the year."

a big win for Microsoft in the sense of making Windows 7 is the fact that the company Intel has updated 100000 workstations . In 2007, Intel completely ignored Vista, deciding to stay at Windows XP. Among the reasons for the success of Windows 7 in a corporate environment, and Intel, in particular, Lambert calls the following: "The main reasons for increasing popularity of Windows 7, we see the simplicity and speed with which the new OS can be deployed in a corporate environment. Second, the ability to manage inventory applications after migration. Both of these factors are key to such rapid adoption of Windows 7 in the first 6 months of its release - explained Lambert.

Windows 7 was that rarely make the release version Windows: get business users to begin migration, without waiting for release service pack. But Windows 7, in which virtually no problems, doing fact of the appearance SP1 virtually meaningless. At least for the client version. In Windows Server 2008 R2 exit package will be added to support new virtualization technology RemoteFX.

"We also see that Windows 7 is the reason for the widespread introduction of 64-bit. Many of our customers were concerned about potential problems with compatibility when using 64-bit environment . However, after analyzing the inventory application, they realized that these problems will automatically be removed and they can easily switch to a more powerful 64-bit platform. This is a win-win situation for Microsoft, and for the corporate sector - added Lambert.

Yes you are right. But you know the reason why? - This is because some of them don't want to invest in to upgrade hardware whereas some of them have very old software to run that is not compatible with Windows 7. Don't mind I would only say one sentence for those that: Change with time to grow up!
