Had quite busy week, got some time to write about this new service. In real you can’t call its a service as this is a form of tweak to get SMS alert of new mails arriving on Gmail. Actually, this tweak uses the same Google Calendar SMS platform which I had discussed few weeks ago to receive “ SMS alert before Friend’s Birthday ”.

That's really impressive and the biggest part is that, they are giving lifetime backup for FREE for next 1 month. 4 Disposable email Services to Fight Spam

If you're looking for a little anonymity and security when signing up for download links or invite codes, a disposable email service is a good option. Instead of providing one of your working email addresses, just grab a meaningless temporary one from any of these sites and keep your identity hidden.

These four sites all provide RSS feeds for your address, which is quite useful. No need to return to the site after registration, just subscribe with your favorite newsreader.

MailCatch - Choose your own address or roll the dice. MailCatch also provides an iGoogle gadget and creates a sub-domain (using your address) for quick access to your web inbox. MailCatch also provides temporary forwards, and they've got an FAQ and forums.

MyTrashMail - Offers password protected temporary accounts in addition to the traditional public variety. Note that the Firefox "toolbar" they offer requires you have the Google toolbar installed first. FAQ and about links are prominently displayed.

FilzMail - Sports a clean interface featuring puffy, web 2.0 images. Create your own address or generate a random one and messages are available for 24 hours (which can be extended).

Incognito Mail - The option for minimalists. Choose or generate your address, and it's valid for 60 minutes. No FAQ or TOS is posted. There are a number of other services that look very similar to Incognito Mail, offering different time limits.

Google adds video embeds to Gmail chat

Friends after traveling a lot for so many days, and also enjoying life at native place, I finally got some time to write about above topic.

Google has added a new video preview feature to Gmail Chat. If you want to share a video from YouTube or Google Video with someone, just drop the URL into your chat window. A thumbnail image will show up in the chat window, and if you click on the preview a small video player will open up on the same page.

As you'd expect, this feature does not work with web videos that are not hosted by Google. So you can't embed Hulu. DailyMotion, or Viddler videos just yet.

Get Web Email Offline With Yahoo Zimbra Desktop

Have you ever wanted to get your web mail on your desktop with free accounts ? Yahoo's Zimba Desktop does just that, and a lot more with web-based access to your Gmail, Yahoo or even Exchange mail… but as desktop application that even works offline.
Today I look at the Zimbra desktop email client and see how well it works. I am running the Beta Version .92 (build 1418) on Vista Ultimate (64-bit). After installing Zimbra you are greeted with an easy to follow Wizard to help get everything set up. Not only does Zimbra offer to get your Yahoo mail but also a wide range of other services including your ISP.

Setup is quite simple, just pop in a name for the account, email address, and password. Another cool feature to point out is synching your Yahoo address book.
After saving my settings it took a moment for the application to launch and already had most of my contacts and existing folders. For larger mailboxes it takes longer to sync everything up. I also noticed that I had to sync each folder individually. The user interface looks a lot like the Yahoo Mail web interface.
There are some nice features included with Yahoo Zimbra, as you would expect from any email client there is a handy calendar which you can sync up.
There are utilities included called “Zimlets” that allow you to use Yahoo Local, Flickr, and Maps.
